About The Artist
I am a "Self Taught - God Inspired Artist" and a Native of Paducah, Kentucky, where I graduated from Paducah Tilghman High School.

Currently, serving as the 1st Lady of The First Missionary Baptist Church of Metropolis, Illinois. Previously to coming to Southern Illinois, in 2013, I served in the same capacity at The First Baptist Church of Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn, New York, from 1994-2013.

While in New York City, my commitment and community involvement earned a recognition from the King's County District Attorney's Office as "Extraordinary Woman 2010" Faithful Service Award!

My art work has been featured and displayed at galleries in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where I was the first African-American member of two of the local art guilds. Other cities where my art work has been shown and sold include: Denver, Colorado; Phoenix, Arizona; Atlanta, Georgia; as well as Harlem, New York, in New York City, New York.

I exhibited for two months, at The African American Museum Of Southern Illinois in Carbondale, Illinois. The Museum acquired one piece of my art work, to place in their collection. Also, I was invited to exhibit at The Southern Illinois University Museum. Additionally, I have exhibited at The Ice House Gallery in Mayfield, Kentucky, for The NAACP during Black History Month and has since been invited back to exhibit, where my art work won "Best In Show". I also have been invited to exhibit at The Yeiser Art Center in Paducah, Kentucky, where I exhibited for the first time in my hometown, where the Yeiser Art Center theme was, "Visible", and was especially geared for people of color, an historic event for Paducah. I also placed "Honorable Mention" in that exhibit. I was interviewed on WPSD TV Channel 6 News.
In October of 2019, I opened "Dale's Art Den", which is the first African American Art Studio/Gallery, in Metropolis, Illinois on Market Street.

My art, along with others, was caught up in the destruction. The two pictures were found four days later in the rubble One had water damage and the other totally survived the tornado.
In 2022, I was invited to submit art work at three different venues simultaneously; Three pictures at The Paducah School of Art and Design, two pictures at The Yeiser Art Center, and a solo exhibit at the Carbondale, IL. City Hall Civic Center.
